The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with leadership to anticipate and meet the evolving and diverse human capital needs and introduce top talent into the company. Sources, identifies, and attracts talent using a variety of recruitment channels and social media platforms. Builds and maintains networks/partnerships to actively expand the pipeline of talent. Anticipates and recommends solutions and new opportunities to advance the recruitment strategy and quality of talent.
As part of a team, provide timely resolution to customers through written and/or telephonic inquiries while optimizing the customer experience. Documentation of all inquiries and actions taken is required. Process transactions, complete required forms, and produce insurance documents.
Underwrite accounts to develop a book of business that will achieve profitability goals that meet division objectives. Analyze and evaluate risk, recognize exposure to make sound underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage alternatives, risk management recommendations, and pricing. Work with team members and assist in all levels of individual risk underwriting decisions, underwriting strategy, book management, and efficient operations and technology. Continually maintain and build upon business relationships with various constituencies, including but not limited to fellow employees, assigned brokers, reinsurers, and vendors.
Provide underwriting efforts to develop a book of business submitted by contracted producers to achieve profitability goals. Assist personnel in all levels of:
• Individual risk underwriting decisions.
• Underwriting strategy.
• Book management.
• Product development and management.
• Efficient operations and technology.
Mentoring responsibilities to include partnering with the Managing Director and working with less-experienced Underwriters and Assistants to enhance their skills. Maintain and build upon appropriate business relationships with various constituencies, including but not limited to fellow employees, assigned brokers, reinsurers, and vendors.
Work independently and within authority granted to investigate, evaluate, create estimates, negotiate, and resolve on-site large loss property claims in excess of $500,000. Review coverage, determine liability, secure information, document files, and settle and pay claims, utilizing claims best practices adhering to claims department policies and procedures
The candidate must reside in the Northeast region of the United States within a reasonable distance of a major airport.

• The target pay for this position is $65,500 - $85,800, which includes base plus book commission. The base salary for this role is $40.5K - $60.8K. Total compensation is heavily dependent on sales performance.
