This UX Researcher/Designer will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research and translating findings into actionable design solutions.  The role will represent the voice of the users (insured, brokers, and internal teams) in design and development work. The role requires a blend of research expertise to uncover key insights and design proficiency to translate those insights into intuitive and engaging user experiences across our digital platforms.  Success in this role will be measured by improved user satisfaction, increased conversion rates, and the consistent delivery of experiences across the digital self-service portals for both customers and insurance brokers.

• Conduct User Research:
  • Plan, execute, and analyze various user research methods to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights.
• Translate Research into Design Solutions:
  • Lead design ideation sessions to transform research insights into effective and innovative design concepts.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and test design solutions.
• Design Intuitive Interfaces:
  • Apply user-centered design principles to create engaging and easy-to-use interfaces for web and self-service portals.
  • Ensure designs adhere to usability heuristics and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of a comprehensive design system, developing reusable components and establishing clear usage guidelines.
• Collaborate and Iterate on Designs:
  • Present research findings and design concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing, and performance data.
• Partner with Engineering:
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure accurate and high-quality implementation of designs.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in a UX research or UX design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end research and design processes.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Strong understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience building and working within a design system.
• Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., for user testing, prototyping, or analytics) to enhance UX research and design workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working within an Agile development process and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
